ALPE-ADRIA TOUR, hiking adventures of four countries (May 11 to October 30)

Slovenia is a member of the European Union and borders Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. Slovenes as South Slavic nation developed under the influence of Roman, Germanic and Balkan culture. That left its mark on our cuisine and landscaping, which is as diverse as the nature itself.

In Slovenia you can descend from the highest Alpine peaks in the northwest to the Adriatic Sea in the southwest, and if you travel from the coast towards the east you can admire the Karst landscape and its magical underground world. You finish your trip at the beautiful Pannonian Plain. All this diversity is reachable within a day.

These exceptional Slovenian conditions and freedom of movement within the EU are included in the rich eight-day hiking tour ALPE-ADRIA. This is a mountain trip from limestone mountains of Slovenia to the glaciers and the highest peaks of black granite rocks of Austria, passing by crystal clear rivers and arriving to wine growing hills of Karst. The tour ends on the Adriatic coast, precisely on the Kvarner islands in the neighbouring country of Croatia. Besides hiking and admiring diverse natural landscape we will also taste local cuisine and excellent wines.
